spaceOn January 7, 2009, Student Press Assistants (SPA) began planning and writing news content for the official APU homepage with a focus on the student perspective. SPAs write articles on student club events, lectures, award ceremonies and other APU events for a wide audience. Five international students and five domestic students, working hard to enhance APU's public relations, serve as SPAs and meet regularly to discuss topics to report on and parcel out assignments. They will continue to plan new projects and expand the horizons of their activities.
spaceRAZ Arisyi Fariza who began work as a SPA member in April, spoke of his aspirations, "I'm really excited to be an SPA member. First of all, I can publish my work on the APU website which can then be read by people all around the world. I can also make new friends and gain valuable experiences from the kind of activities I am involved in. Furthermore, through guidance and participating in SPA meetings I can improve my writing skills and gain an insight into the world of journalism. I hope that I can accomplish my goals and gain a wealth of new experiences. "
