		The presentation ceremony was held on April 2, the day of the admissions ceremony, in the Millennium Hall. At the ceremony, Dr. SEN Genshitsu (SEN Soshitsu XV) was presented with an honorary doctorate in recognition of his contributions as a member of the Advisory Committee in the establishment and development of the university and his role in academic and cultural exchange. 　At the ceremony, President Cassim introduced Dr. Sen, then presented him with the doctorate and a sash. In his role as visiting professor, Dr. Sen has provided a variety of assistance and support to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, including donating the Washin-an tearoom to the campus, and especially providing foreign students with an opportunity to contact Japanese culture.
