The APU Student & Alumni Association (Koyukai) inaugurated on the day of APU's first graduation ceremony ever in March 2003. The committee aims to strengthen ties between current students and graduates and assist them in their quest to find employment. In understanding the needs of current students, the committee is striving to play an active role in bringing current students and alumni closer together. In addition to the establishment of an alumni association webpage, efforts are currently being put into job hunting support initiatives for current students. |

On October 23, members of the committee helped out at the 'APU Job Hunting Support Fair' held by the Tokyo Office. Tokyo-based alumni from APU and Ritsumeikan University were invited to the event, which consisted of talks by 4th year students (who had already received informal job offers) about their job hunting experiences. Following these talks, students were given the opportunity to speak directly with the 4th years and alumni about job hunting in Japan. These exchanges proved to be an invaluable opportunity for students to discuss and receive advice on any concerns they might have had regarding their upcoming job hunt. The committee hopes to build on the experience it gained through helping at this event and organize similar events in the future. In addition, we hope to provide job hunting related support that is only made possible through relating to students and understanding their needs. |

The goal of the committee is to form an alumni association that links not only current students and alumni, but also links APU with the local community and, on a wider scale, Japan to the rest of the world - creating networks that will yield unlimited potential and possibilities for future events and support. The committee aims to work as a bridge to ensure that friendships and international connections forged at APU last forever. The success of this network lies in the attitude and commitment of each and every APU student, who are in themselves the real assets of APU. We encourage current students who are graduating soon and graduates who have yet to register to visit our homepage and become members of the APU Student ＆ Alumni Association. Our committee is also looking for new members who agree with and would like to help work towards the goals and objectives of the committee. We look forward to your continuing support, and would be grateful to receive your comments and suggestions.
