On Saturday, October 29, 2011, a group of seven Australian Taekwondo instructors travelling in Japan visited APU and took part in an exchange event with the APU Taekwondo Club.
This event was made possible through an offer from a family taking part as a host-family in one of APU’s community exchange programs. Fourteen members of the APU Taekwondo Club took part in the training and exchange event under the guidance of the visiting instructors.
Leader of the APU Taekwondo Club, YANO Shoei (APM2, Japan) commented on the event, “This was a great opportunity for us to receive instruction from such experienced instructors. We exchanged contact details so I hope that we enjoy further exchange events in the future”.
