International Exchange through our Global Academic Network

Active Learning is an academic program that allows students to hone the research and presentation abilities they will need to succeed in the real world. Programs give students the opportunity to attain knowledge and experience and to engage in off-campus interactions through on-site participatory learning.

The program incorporates domestic and international fieldwork along with overseas student exchange programs, language study programs, internships, field studies, on-site research projects with faculty members and volunteer activities.

APU encourages all students to take advantage of at least one of these Active Learning programs as part of their 4-year course at APU.

The Ritsumeikan Trust has established cooperative relations with 337 universities and institutions in 56 countries and regions of the world (as of January 1, 2008). Through these networks, APU offers various partnership projects, including exchange programs for study abroad, language training programs, joint research and interactive programs for students and faculty members.
