Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University is committed to helping students meet the financial requirements necessary to obtain a graduate degree. The university offers various merit-based scholarships providing for 30%, 50%, 65%, 80% or 100% reductions of the total tuition costs.
Generally, scholarships are valid for the entire period of enrollment (for Master's students up to two years, for PhD students up to three years). However, each recipient's performance will be evaluated every semester, and the university reserves the right to reduce or terminate scholarship payments to a student showing substandard results.
Other scholarships are also offered by public and private institutions as well as by the Japanese government. These include:
- Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship
- Scholarships Available to Students from Outside Organizations after Enrolment
- Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP)
- Rotary International, Ambassadorial Scholarship
Scholarship application forms are included in the general admissions documents, which can be downloaded in PDF format. Alternatively, you can use our document request form if you would prefer to receive the documents by postal mail, or if you have any questions regarding scholarships.
