We can offer reciprocal student, faculty and staff exchange programs that range in duration from 1 quarter (2 months), 1 semester through to whole year exchanges with credit transfers available for students.
 
APU is the only university in Japan to which Academics, Students and Visitors can arrive without knowledge of the Japanese language - our Campus is multi-lingual with Japanese and English the two official languages.
 
Students on Exchange and on Short term courses can pursue regular academic courses in English while learning Japanese. And likewise proficient Japanese-speakers can take academic subjects in Japanese while improving their language ability yet further with the highly specialised Japanese courses that we have on offer
 
Faculty on sabbatical can arrange access to our pool of international faculty as well as English speaking student assistants to help develop their research goals - for example prior to undertaking research in Japan.
