From this fall semester, once again lectures will be held for the purpose of assisting students design and think out their future career plans. The lectures, which have been extended from 95 minutes in the past to 190 minutes, have been revamped to allow for further communication between the lecturer and students while gaining a deeper understanding of the topics by creating a forum for discussions.
The first lecture was held by the Director for the General Affairs and Planning Group for the Kyushu offices of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Mr NEGISHI Hideo. He discussed the business possibilities of amino acids, world trends in this market, and the appeal of finding employment in this field. A group discussion on the topic Reaffirming Oneself was has held with students who enthusiastically exchanged opinions on their personal strengths and how to apply their interests to their work. The students actively put forth such statements as: 的 want to overcome the perceived drawbacks of being a woman looking for work by turning this into a strength Thereafter Mr. NEGISHI gave advice based on his own experiences ensuring that the momentum of the lecture did not let up from start until end.
After the lecture finished Mr. NEGISHI had the following to say: 展hen I was a student we never had this kind of job-hunting support. I hope the students appreciate having these support systems in place. I would be most pleased if the students could digest the content of this lecture and use this chance to go off into a better direction -- however small it may be Thus far highly appraised lectures have been held from travel companies, financial institutions, manufacturers, media and a range of other industries.
