What is APM?

APM is an acronym for Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University College of International Management, one of the two undergraduate colleges at APU. The aim of APM is to foster human resources who will take business in the Asia Pacific region to new levels. After four-years of study, successful APM graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration.

What can I study in APM?

The core field of study offered by APM is international management. Advancements in corporate activities in the 20th century have greatly advanced corporate management practices in recent years. Moreover, economic globalization and technological innovation, particularly in the IT sector, are giving rise to fundamental changes in the nature of corporate management. The study of international management involves perceiving and developing solutions to such change. Once students grasp the basics of international management theory, students go on to learn about management in more detail in the three areas of specialization; Marketing and Corporate Strategy, Accounting and Finance, International Business and Comparative Management, and New Business and Innovation.
